SE Group, in conjunction with BSA Architects, was retained by the Turkish Ski Federation to develop Master Site Development Plans and detailed design drawings of the Alpine, Snowboard, and Nordic venues for the 2011 Winter Universiade Games. Planning and design for the Alpine and Snowboard venues focused on developing world‐renowned, destination resorts at the existing Palandöken ski area and the nearby undeveloped Konakli site. The Nordic venue focused on developing a premier training center for Nordic and Biathlon athletes. All venues were designed to accommodate FIS requirements in order to host the Universiade Games and future World Cup events.

The project included design guidelines which expressed key themes for the architecture and site including: signature architecture relating to the natural environment, scale and detail of design elements, honest structural expression and building materials, sustainable design, and snow country design considerations. Detailed drawings were prepared for drop off areas, plazas, skier service buildings, race venues, temporary guest services and event seating, ski lifts and terrain, snowmaking and water resources, infrastructure requirements, maintenance, and parking. The project is being tendered by the Turkish Ski Federation and is currently under construction.
