SE GROUP has been Breckenridge Ski Resort's mountain planner of choice since the early 1990's. Over the years we have assisted the management team at Breckenridge with the planning, design, permitting, construction documents, and implementation of several major projects. Many of those projects have helped Breckenridge grow to become the second most visited resort in the US, only slightly edged out by neighboring Vail Resort. Noteworthy projects include the dual-loading, six-place chair on Peak 9; the high-speed, six-place chair and several hundred acres of terrain on Peak 7; the Imperial Express chair on Peak 8, which takes skiers to a higher elevation than any other lift in North America; and the BreckConnect Gondola, which connects the peaks 7 and 8 base areas with the Town of Breckenridge. In 2006, Breckenridge commissioned SE to prepare an updated Master Development Plan for the resort. This document presents plans for a major expansion to terrain on Peak 6 just to the south of Peak 7 and the existing resort. Included in the plan are several lift and terrain upgrades that will provide additional variety and improve skier circulation throughout the existing resort, as well as new and expanded skier services buildings and amenities.
