Working in conjunction with the Burlington Community and Economic Development Office, SE Group has assisted in moving the original concept master plan for the 121 acres of the downtown waterfront through a series of design and implementation projects. The original master plan served as a starting point for these efforts, but the ongoing design work has responded to changes in public needs, ongoing private‐public development projects and extensive coordination with diverse stakeholder groups. As a result of this collaborative process, new design opportunities have been realized to enhance the pedestrian and recreational experience of the waterfront as well as improve its connectivity to the downtown. The SE Group team has worked closely with project architects, transportation planners and civil engineers to assure design cohesion and attention to detail. Work continues at present with the Moran Plant restoration and additional improvements to accessibility within the waterfront.
